COMSOL Multiphysics Solicitation COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION #: N00178-16-T-0051 Su bmitted by: Rachel Karkane NAI CS Code: 511210 FSC Code: 7030 Anticipated Date to be published in FEDBIZOPS: 24 February 2016 Anticipated Closing Date: 03 March 2016 Contracts POC Name: Rachel Karkane Telephone#: 540-653-3358 Email Address: rachel.karkane@navy.mil Description and Code: 70 - General Purpose ADPE and Support This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12 and 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Synopsis/Solicitation N00178-15-T-0051 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. This requirement is not eligible for small business set-aside. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on a sole source basis. The required software support renewal is proprietary to COMSOL Inc. Awarding to another vendor would require changing to a new design platform resulting in a substantial duplication of costs. COMSOL Inc. is located in Burlington, MA. Please include shipping/freight cost for FOB destination Dahlgren, VA 22448-5114. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be utilized for award in accordance with FAR Part 12. The order shall be firm fixed price. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Offerors may obtain information on registration in SAM by calling 866-606-8220, or via the Internet at https://www.sam.gov. Quote is due 12 February 2016, no later than 3:00 p.m. EST with an anticipated award date by 1 April 2016.
