- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Columbia River Research Laboratory, has a requirement for Juvenile Salmon Acoustic Telemetry Systems (JSATS) transmitters Maximum physical size of transmitter: 10.7 mm (L) x 5.0 mm (W) x 2.8 mm (H) Must weigh 0.3g or less in air Must have a tag life of 38 days or greater at a 5 second pulse interval USGS will provide a list of codes to program the transmitters with a 5 second pulse interval Quantity: 820 each This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 and 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; solicitation number G16PS00266 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in accordance with Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-86, effective 01 Feb. 2016. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, firm-fixed price type purchase order. All firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov, to be considered at award. This requirement is subject to availability of funds. Responses must be in writing, by email or fax to the Contract Specialist: jmdavis@usgs.gov or 916 278 9339 (fax). This requirement is small business set-aside.
