Description

J & A Notice; Carticel Implants Special Notice of Intent under solicitation: W91YU0-16-T-0113 for Carticel® Implant-Cell (Autolougus Cultured Chondrocytes). Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b) (1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Regional Contracting Office-Pacific, Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM-HCC) Health Contracting Cell, Lacey WA intends to issue a sole source award to US Bioservices, Corporation in the amount of: $36,878.60 to purchase Carticel® Implant Cells which will be used in a patient specific surgical procedure, as determined by the surgeon, located in the Department of Anesthesia Operative Services at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), Tacoma WA. Prior to surgery, the surgeon shall make the determination that these products or other branded products will best meet the individual patients medical needs. All products must be FDA Approved. This notice is NOT a request for proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. Information can be sent to the Purchasing Agent Walter Bischoff, email: Walter.j.Bischoff.civ@mail.mil. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
