Description

Sole Source Justification Per FAR 13.106-1(B)(1) The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to sole source to Tuffy Security Products for Tuffy Heavy Duty 16 Gauge Box Enclosures for weapon. This requirement is for the Tampa Division. Per FAR 5.207(16)(ii) all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All capability statements or quotes shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer David P. Yates by email. The email address is David.Yates@ic.fbi.gov. All capability statements or quotes shall be received before the closing date and time. Please see the attached Sole Source Justification. Additional Information: All 56 divisions SWAT Team leaders were canvassed to determine what type of weapon security boxes were being used in the field for the Ford Expedition and SWAT. Based on firearms policy directives, the requirement, and the canvased SWAT Team leaders, Tuffy Security Products box is the only one that will meet the agencies needs (size, lock, matching existing, and is the only vendor who can provide metal boxes for the For Expedition with vehicle specific OEM mounting points using their manufactured brackets.
