- USCG Industry Day 2016 Map USCG Industry Day 2016 Announcement INDUSTRY DAY EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT Agency: Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard (USCG) Headquarters Location: 2703 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. SE, Washington, DC 20593-7828 When: Monday, May 2, 2016 - 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Security/Check-In begins at 7:00 a.m.) The U.S. Coast Guard Chief of the Contracting Office (COCO) for HQs will be hosting an FY16 Industry Day Event in support of the following USCG HQ Directorates/Commands: Human Resources (CG-1), Assistant Commandant for Marine Safety Security and Stewardship (CG-5), Force Readiness Command (FORCECOM), Assistant Commandant for Capability (CG-7), Planning Resources and Procurement (CG-8) and Assistant Commandant for Acquisition (CG-9). The USCG HQ Industry Day Event is designed to promote meaningful exchange for greater understanding of Coast Guard needs, and expanded awareness of industry capabilities. The event will include CG-912 Procurement Team updates of anticipated requirements for the upcoming year, followed by respective break-out sessions for one-on-one discussions including Q&A's reference specific Acquisition Planning Forecast System (www.apfs.dhs.gov) opportunities. (FORECAST DISCLAIMER - All projected procurements are subject to revision or cancellation. Final decisions on the extent of competition, small business participation, estimated value, or any aspect of the procurement action will not be made until each procurement is initiated. Forecast data is for planning purposes only and is not a commitment by the government to purchase the described products and services.) Draft Agenda and Briefing Slides will be posted to FBO at a later date. Drop-off boxes for each Program Directorate will be provided for vendor information and capability statements. IMPORTANT Registration Information: Businesses must send a single email request (only one per company) to HQS-PF-fldr-CG-9124@uscg.mil, including all requested company attendees (no more than three (3)), by midnight EST, April 18, 2016 providing each person's (1)name, (2)SSN, (3)DOB, (4) citizenship and (5) company name. This information is required for security purposes - email requests containing incomplete/inaccurate information (i.e., name, DOB, SSN) will not be processed and no notification will be issued. Individual substitutions will not be processed - however businesses may submit a replacement list (identifying all requested attendees for the business) IAW above procedures and date. Only the latest list submittal will be considered for attendance - USCG HQ will confirm reservations back to businesses via email address used to submit request for attendance. Industry questionnaire request: Please take a moment to provide feedback about how the CGHQ Office of Contract Operations can better communicate with industry during the pre-award, solicitation and post-award contract phases, prior to the upcoming industry day event. Submit your feedback here: https://www.uscg.mil/hq/cg9/business/pdf/Industry_Day_Form.pdf through 23 April 2016. Parking: Parking at USCG HQ is limited to 150 spaces; limit one vehicle per company. Valid driver's license, registration, and insurance card are required. Attendees can also park at Anacostia Metro Station, DC from which the A4 Metro Shuttle Bus provides a quick (10 minutes) shuttle to/from St. Elizabeth Campus (approx. $1.75 each way - cash or Metro Smart Card accepted.) Strip maps are attached for your information. Amendments will be sent out on parking availability at USCG Headquarters due to the limited number of spaces. Security: All attendees should allow time for Security Check-In procedures. In accordance with (41 CFR 102-20.301) all packages, briefcases, and other containers in the immediate possession of visitors, employees, or other persons arriving on, working at, visiting, or departing from Federal property are subject to inspection. A full Search of a person and any vehicle driven or occupied person may accompany an arrest. USCG HQ: This is a smoke free campus. There is no smoking in the building including the courtyards. The facility is considered a walking campus; if you have any attendees that have special needs please make it known when submitting their information. There will be no access to any other part of the USCG HQ building during this event. All attendee's will enter and exit using the same route. The building café will not be accessible to event attendees and no lunch break is scheduled. There will however, be coffee and water made available for purchase (CASH ONLY) to the attendees in the ante room of the conference center. Driving Directions and Access Information: The Douglas A. Munro Headquarters Building is located on the St. Elizabeth's Campus in Southeast Washington D.C. The following address is recommended for GPS purposes: 2699 Firth Sterling Ave SE, Washington D.C. Please note that this is not a physical address, instead this will place you at the entrance of the desired campus access road. From there, entrance gates will be located straight ahead. Please proceed to Gate 6 where you will be directed by guard staff of event personnel. From southbound 295 Take Exit 3A Suitland Parkway. Make a right at the first traffic light onto Firth Sterling Ave. Drive straight towards South Capitol Street and make the last left before the 295 overpass onto the St. Elizabeth's Campus service road. Gate 6 is straight ahead. From northbound 295 Take Exit 3A and make the next right onto Firth Sterling Ave. Drive straight towards South Capitol Street and make the last left before the 295 overpass onto the St. Elizabeth's Campus service road Any changes to above requirements will be communicated solely through an Amendment to this announcement. (Based on the volume of anticipated attendees, requests for individual exceptions cannot be accommodated.)
