- Solicitation Attachments A thru D Solicitation Document The 249th Engineer Battalion is a versatile power generation battalion assigned to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) that provides commercial-level power to military units and federal relief organizations during full-spectrum operations. The U.S. Army Prime Power School trains soldiers to operate and maintain the Army's inventory of medium voltage electrical power generation assets. The purpose of the forthcoming solicitation is to secure instructional services for Army and Navy personnel attending training at the US Army Prime Power School. These services will support approximately 90 students annually on the Fort Leonard Wood military installation. The services required under this contract consist of instructor services only in the areas of Mathematics, Applied Physical Concepts, Mechanical System Engineering, Electrical System Engineering and updating the Program of Instructions, if applicable. USACE intends to negotiate a Single Award Task Order Contract on a competitive basis to obtain these training services. This is to be performed in accordance with the Uniform Guidelines for Selection. The contract will be a single Indefinite Delivery Contract for a period of eight (8) months with four (4) one year options with a total ceiling price of $3,015,000 over the life of the contract. All requests for proposals (RFP) will be in writing and reference W912HQ-16-R-0006. Anticipated release date of the RFP will be on or about 29 February 2016. It is estimated that a proposal will be due 30 days from the release date; the exact date will be notated in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. This presolicitation notice is for the sources sought notice posted in October 2015, W912HQ-16-S-0001.
