- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE The VA San Francisco Medical Center will be issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) to award a contract for Therapeutic Apheresis Services. The Services will be performed at the VA Medical Center in San Francisco. The Services shall consist of: Contractor will provide on-call inpatient services for Therapeutic Apheresis (TA) as ordered by the physician staff at the San Francisco VA Medical Center (SFVAMC). Specific on-call inpatient TA services include leukopheresis (leukocytapheresis), plateletpheresis, and plasmapheresis. Once SFVAMC contacts contractor, services must be able to be initiated within 6-18 hours depending on the patient's medical needs. Equipment and supplies to render these services will be provided by contracted company, except for blood and blood products. Blood and blood products will be provided internally by the SFVAMC. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be released on or about March 11, 2016. At this point in the procurement process, the Department of Veteran Affairs is performing market research to determine contract socio-economic category, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), small business, or large business. Interested firms should submit the following information: *Socio-economic category - business size *SAM.gov record *DUNS Number *Capability Statement for providing Therapeutic Apheresis Services The Government anticipates that the period of performance will start on or about April 1, 2016. Interested parties should respond to Jaime Kelley, Contracting Officer at jaime.kelley@va.gov (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. (b) Although "proposal," "offeror," contractor, and "offeror" may be used in this sources sought notice, any response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) Any information received from a contractor in response to this Sources Sought may be used in creating a solicitation. Any information received which is marked with a statement, such as "proprietary" or "confidential," intended to restrict distribution will not be distributed outside of the Government, except as required by law. (d) This Sources Sought is issued for the purpose of collecting information about the availability of contractors that can provide Therapeutic Apheresis Services in the community.
