- Synopsis Attachment This agency proposes to issue a solicitation for a long-term, strategic sole source contract which will include multiple NSNs to support the following weapon systems including but not limited to: F-15 Eagle, F-16 Falcon, and C-130 Hercules Aircraft. A total of 125 NSNs are targeted for this contract effort. It is anticipated that 31 NSNs will be priced for the initial contract award. The proposed action is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis as supported by a J&A IAW FAR 6.302-1. The proposed sole source contract will be issued to Gentex Corporation, dba Western Operations CAGE: 60240. This is an unrestricted acquisition with origin inspection for DLA Direct (Stock) support. The proposed contract will be for a total 10-year period of performance with a two-year base period, and four, two-year option periods. Letters expressing interest in subcontracting provided to the contracting officer will be forwarded to the identified manufacturer. Surplus dealers and small business dealers and distributors having existing stocks of surplus or newly manufactured approved material may respond to the synopsis/solicitation. Respondents will be required to complete a surplus certificate in accordance with DLAD 52.2511-9000, Government Surplus Material, or provide adequate traceability documentation to show the product is acceptable. In addition, respondents will be required to identify the quantities available and price. DLA will consider all such responses and may alter the acquisition strategy if purchase of existing surplus or newly-manufactured inventory is in the best interest of the Government. This is proposed to be a FAR Part 15 effort. The proposed contract will be a firm- fixed price, requirements type contract with price redetermination-prospective. The attached listing of NSNs are the items that have been identified for this current action. If other NSNs are subsequently added, as defined by the terms of the contract, they will be synopsized separately. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DLA Internet Bid Board System at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil on the same issue date cited in the solicitation.
