Description
is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted to FEDBIZOPPS. The RFQ number is SPMYM3-16-Q-7044. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-85 and DFARS Change Notice 20160226. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dfars/html/current/252201.htm. The NAICS code is 333413 and the Small Business Standard is 500. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set Aside, and the Non-Manufacturer Rule Applies. If not the manufacturer - manufacturer's name, address, and business size is required. If quoting an "Equal To" vendor MUST provide specifications for review. Note *** Due to urgency, award MAY be based on delivery. A reverse auction may be held. The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing: Unit Price Total Price ITEM 0001: Air Purifier. Quantity 4 EA _______ _______ Eagle Compressor Inc., Air Purifier, Model# 50LC340 or Equivalent. Any Deviation from Model# 50LC340 must be authorized by Technical Review. Model# 50LC340 Technical Characteristics: The high pressure air purification system shall be a multi-chamber arrangement that utilizes a disposable cartridge Manufactured to provide breathing air quality that meets or exceeds NFPA and CGA Grade "E" specifications and all other equivalent and recognized standards in use world - wide. Components shall be rated for 6000 PSI working pressure. Chambers in the system shall be constructed of 304 stainless steel. Purification system components shall be mounted on a formed steel base plate that permits complete access to all service components from the front. The base plate shall be appliance like without visible welds, burrs, or grinding marks and finished with scratch resistant powder coat paint. The purification system shall be sized to process 340,000 cubic feet (cu.ft.) of air at 80 degree F and compressed to 6000 PSI between cartridge changes. Provided with an equipment cover to protect against environmental damage. Lifting lug / pad eyes to accommodate system placement: If special rigging equipment is required it must be provided by the vendor Equipment weight must be stenciled / labeled in 2" high lettering on the exterior of the equipment Standard fork pockets for transportation utilizing a standard forklift. The System shall include the following: Final Separator Chamber. Check valve to prevent backpressure to the converter. Six (6) 33" desiccant cartridge chambers. Two (2) 33" purifier cartridge chambers. Pressure maintaining valve to assure that the system is maintained pressurized in order to attain the rated processing capacity of the air purification cartridge. Safety relief valve. Drain valve to relieve the system pressure for maintenance. Stem mounted gage for system pressure verification. The system shall be designed so that air cannot flow through the purifier in the event that the disposable cartridge is not installed.
