- Synopsis VA528-16-B-0139: This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and no solicitation documents are currently publically available. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a hazardous waste treatment and disposal contractor to furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision to provide ACM floor Mastic abatement on the 1st floor of Building 36. Included also is removal of the contiguous non-ACM Floor tile. The Work is located at the VAMC Canandaigua Campus, 400 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua, N.Y. 14424 Competition for this procurement is restricted to SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). The work includes, but is not limited to: 1."Building 36 First" consisting of approximately 8,500 S.F. of flooring removal. Remove from the Medical Center all VCT, Mastic and associated material to an approved and registered location meeting all governmental and regulatory requirements. Properly remove and dispose of all contaminated material from site. Work will observe all applicable State and Federal abatement policies. All work must be compliant with NYS code rule 56, and VA specifications. 2.Third party air monitoring will be provided by the VA, and coordinated by the contractor. 3.VA Specification s for general conditions and ACM abatement requirements. 4.Variations to scope of work shall observe documented Change Management procedures and are subject to preapproval by the VA Contract Officer. Estimated construction cost range is $100,000-$250,000. The firm must be a Hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal firm registered and approved under NAICS: 562211, size standard: $38.5 million. The offeror shall obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of New York. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at http://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. Solicitation will be posted on/about March 20, 2016. A walk-through will be held on or about one week after the posting of the solicitation for this IFB. These dates are estimates. The actual dates will be stated in the solicitation. The Contracting Officer for this project is Emily Lindsey (Emily.Lindsey2@va.gov).This is a SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
