Description
Connector Drawings Connectors SOW THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. The Department of Commerce (DOC) National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) Radar Operations Center (ROC) is looking for a source to manufacture six different socket & blade connectors necessary to replace the existing connectors on all the NEXRAD Transmitters. The Government is especially interested in responses from SBA certified small business concerns that are capable of providing electrical connectors described herein. The vendor is required to manufacture and deliver injection molded electrical connectors in accordance with the attached statement of work and drawings. All necessary drawings are provided. Following completion of the manufacture of all connectors, the vendor shall deliver all tooling and molds necessary to support future manufacturing of the connectors. A set of connectors for purposes of this SOW include: 645A748H03, QTY=2 645A748H04, QTY=2 645A748H07, QTY=1 645A748H08, QTY=1 645A748H09, QTY=9 645A748H10, QTY=9 CLIN 0001 - Manufacture and deliver 1 set of tooling and molds required to manufacture connectors listed in CLIN 0002 and OPTION 1001. To be delivered at completion of the contract. CLIN 0002 - First Article: Deliver 1 set of connectors as defined above. OPTION 1001 - Following Government acceptance of CLIN 0002, manufacture and deliver 214 sets of connectors. Delivery Schedule: CLIN 0001 - Upon contract completion. CLIN 0002 - 60 days after award. OPTION 1001 - Complete deliveries 120 days after CLIN 0002 acceptance. The following NAICS code and small business size standards apply to this requirement: 326199 - All Other Plastics Product Manufacturing (750 employees) The Government anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the connectors. This request for information does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the submission of a contractor's information. The Government shall not be liable for, or suffer any consequential damages for proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Standard brochures will not be considered a sufficient response to this notice. Submitted Capability Statements shall include the following: 1. Company name and address. 2. DUNS number. 3. Type of business (e.g., large business, small business, 8(a), veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and/or women owned small business) as validated via the System for Award Management (SAM). 4. Company point of contact- name, phone, and e-mail address. 5. In a capability statement demonstrate the firm's capabilities for meeting the proposed contract requirements demonstrating your firm's ability to provide the supplies described herein. Include any recent past performance experience. 6. Identify any major work components that your firm would likely subcontract out. 7. Any subsequent contract will contain the mandatory FAR Clause 52.219-4, Limitation on Subcontracting, which limits subcontracting costs to 50% of the price of the contract. NOTE: this Sources Sought notice is the same as another notice posted with a title of "Electrical Connectors" with NAICS code 334417. Vendors do not need to respond to both.
