- Description
- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Contracting Division (NCD) on behalf of Product Manager Force Sustainment Systems (PM-FSS), located at the Natick Soldier Systems Center intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis in support of the Mobile Integrated Remains Collection System (MIRCS). The requirement is to procure Maintenance Work Order (MWO) Conversion Kits. A total of 180 MIRCS MWO kits will be required under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The MIRCS and MWO kits were developed by the original equipment manufacturer, Guild Associates of Dublin, OH. The current kits have already successfully undergone stringent Government testing and demonstrated performance in actual real world deployments. This requirement will satisfy an immediate need to convert 180 on board generators, which are now obsolete. The Government has the data rights to the conversion kit drawings and the intent is to use them for future competitive procurements. The drawing package is currently being reviewed for accuracy and completeness, and will then be converted to the Government format. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive quotations or proposals. No solicitation is available. Parties that believe they can meet the contract requirements are encouraged to identify themselves and provide a substantive statement with descriptive literature and any other supporting information within 15 days of publication of this notice. All information received within 15 days of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government to determine if the more than one responsible source can meet the Government's requirements and is capable of performing the intended contract. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Contracting Division (NCD) via e-mail to: Curtis.L.Britton.civ@mail.mil no later than 11:00 a.m. on March 19, 2016.
