RE: Questions and Answer for VA786-16-R-0090 1.If the alternates are taken will there be a project performance extension, if so how much time will be added onto the time given to perform this project? Answer: Period of performance would be extended an additional 1.5 years if all three add alternates are approved. 2.In the event that casketed remains are found within the proposed concrete beam area (reviled by test holes) will they be relocated by cemetery personal and if so in what time frame? Answer: Casketed remains will be moved by cemetery personnel as soon as they can be once the COR is notified by the Contractor. 3.Where we perform test digging for the beam supports in cremation sections, are the cremations in cardboard boxes, plastic bags or some sort of metal container? Answer: Cremation containers can vary in what they are made from as well as the size. Some may be ceramic, some may be metal, but most commonly are made of plastic. Size may be from 8 3/4" - 14" outside height, 9 3/4" -15 3/8" outside width and 20 1/16" to 36 1/4" in length. 4.CLIN 0001 calls for hand digging 24"W x 24"L x 3'4" D but all alternate CLINS (A-C) require 12"W x 12"L x 3'4"D. We want to make sure that the requirement is correct as listed in that the required dimensions are significantly different for the base vs the alternate CLINS. Answer: This is an error. Alternates CLIN A001, B001, C001 should read the same as CLIN 0001. Please use the below pricing schedule for alternates. Add Alternate #1 ITEM NO.DESCRIPTIONEST.
