- LIMESTONE TRAIL MARKER STONES, Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve ¿ This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items in accordance with FAR 12.603 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (issued as a Request for Quotation); quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors ¿ Commercial Items (FEB 2012) To receive an award as a result of this solicitation, vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (www.SAM.gov) and possess and maintain a valid Dun and Bradstreet number. Offerors must comply with all instructions contained in Internet Payment Platform (IPP) DOI Electronic Invoicing. The Department of Interior, National Park Service, Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve has identified a requirement for Limestone Trail Marker Stones to be placed along the walking trail at the Park. The requirement is as follows: 50 slabs of white/natural color limestone from the Top Ledge Cottonwood Limestone layer that measure roughly 16 inches square x 12 inches deep. A written rendering is attached to this solicitation or can be provided upon request of the Contract Specialist. The stones will lie flat on the ground with the 12 ¿ depth being the vertical element. The top face and bottom, measuring a roughly 16 ¿ square, will be sawn to create a flat surface. All four of the other edges around the stones will be rough cut. The top flat surface will support an interpretive metal plate that will be produced by another company. Stones will be shipped to Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, 2480B KS Hwy 177, Strong City, KS 66869. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-85, December 4, 2015. This acquisition is a 100% small business set aside, using NAICS 212311, size standard 500 employees. All inquiries shall be directed to the Contracting Specialist: Patrice L.
