Description
Purchase biological controls for purple loosestrife and leafy spurge SPECIFICATIONS FOR BIOLOGICAL CONTROLS GAVINS POINT PROJECT 1. SCOPE: The successful bidder (vendor) will provide and deliver leafy spurge and purple loosestrife biological controls to the Gavins Point Project Office in Crofton, NE. Biological controls are for release in South Dakota and Nebraska. 2. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Biological controls will be packaged into "releases." The vendor will supply 20 releases of Oberea erythocephala, 60 releases of Galerucella spp., and meet the following minimum requirements: • Each Oberea erythocephala release must contain at least 105 stem borers. • Each Galerucella spp. release must include G. calmariensis and/or G. pusilla. • Each Galerucella spp. release must contain at least 105 defoliating beetles. 3. MISCELLANEOUS: The vendor shall guarantee arrival of biological controls alive and in good condition. The vendor shall secure all permits necessary for interstate transport and release of the biological controls. Bidders are encouraged to contact Linda Filo at 402-667-2569 for questions on specifications. 4. DELIVERY: The successful bidder is responsible for all delivery/shipping costs to deliver the biological controls to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Gavins Point Project Office, 55245 Highway 121, Crofton, NE 68730. The vendor shall notify the Corps (Linda Filo at 402-667-2569) of the expected arrival date(s) prior to shipping. 5. AWARD: Award to the successful bidder shall be based on lowest bid. 6. PAYMENT: Payment for the biological controls will be within 30 days following delivery and acceptance by the Government and receipt of a proper invoice.
