Description
As requested in the original posting on 17 February 2016 questions from industry were received. The questions and and answers are posted below. Question 1: Should we consider GFI/GFE in formulation of our ROM cost estimate, notional schedule and responses to USG RFI questions? For example, will the USG provide image generators, existing visual and radar databases, and/or other items to shorten the delivery schedule and reduce program costs? Answer 1: The Contractor should not include Image Generators, Visual or Radar Databases in their cost estimates/projections. The USG intends to provide Government owned software, data, and databases that may be integrated into the final product. It is the Contractor's responsibility to ensure that any GFI is capable of satisfying specified RWST requirements. The provision of any GFE has not yet been determined but will be identified in the RFP. Question 2: Does the requirement for COMS support extend to include Engineering to address obsolescence and/or concurrency issues that might arise with the RWST during the COMS period? If so, does the USG expect that support to be co-located with the first or subsequent RWST(s)? Answer 2: The Government intends to fund a Training System Support Center (TSSC) under the COMS option. The TSSC will be responsible for concurrency updates, obsolescence management, software enhancements and modifications, Cybersecurity updates, DMO support, and other Engineering services, as needed. The TSSC will be co-located with the first fielded RWST. The notice will close on 18 March 2016; information submitted after the closing date may be used by the Government but a response may not be received.
