Description
The Embassy of the United States of America in Moscow will issue a solicitation for packing and shipping services to be performed at the Embassy's residential locations, in addition to residential locations at the United States Consulates in St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. Please note that the Embassy of the United States in Moscow will release the solicitation on Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website on Thursday, March 24, 2016. The solicitation will also be available on the Embassy's website ( http ://moscow.usembassy.gov/bids.html ). The requirement is for packing and shipping services for transportation of used household effects and personal air-baggage of arriving and departing American diplomats. This will include surface transportation from the respective Post to the European Logistical Support Office located in Antwerp, Belgium and vice versa, in addition to "door-to-door" inbound and outbound personal air shipments. This is an indefinite-quantity-indefinite-delivery contract for the services specified and effective for the period stated in the solicitation document. The Government intends to award more than one (1) contract for these services. The anticipated performance is for a base period of twelve (12) months and four (4), one- (1) year periods at the discretion of the Government. The estimated time when services should begin is May 2016. The Contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative and direct labor personnel to accomplish all required work. All packing, transportation costs, fees or charges as well as local customs charges will be included in the price proposal. Costs for air transportation of personal baggage are not covered by this contract. These costs shall be paid by the Government in accordance to airway bills issued by the air carrier. All responsible sources may submit an offer. No electronic offers will be accepted. Please mail your offer to the contracting office listed in the RFQ prior to the response date and time deadlines listed in the solicitation document. NOTE: Pursuant to FAR provision 5.207, registration in the System for Award Management Registration (SAM) is a mandatory requirement in order to be considered for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at the help tab of https ://www.sam.gov.
