Description
Scope: The contractor shall perform an Arc Flash Analysis of the entire electrical distribution system located at the Butler VA Medical Center as per newest editions of NEC (National Electric Code), NFPA 70E (National Fire Protection Association) and IEEE 1584 regulations (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers). This documentation shall include single line diagrams and each electrical device's calculations. Documentation must be hard copy and DVD electronic copies. Drawings will be in AutoCAD and (pdf) format. All other bid documents will be furnished in the file type they were created along with (pdf) files. This analysis will include all buildings and electrical equipment on campus including outside electrical equipment including but not limited to pad mounted transformers, generators and outside switchgear. Contractor must supply and attach arc flash hazard labels. Specific Tasks: This Update would include on-site data gathering/verification, engineering calculations and one-line diagram of the evaluated electrical system. After calculations arc flash hazard stickers must be attached to appropriate equipment and a document/print review completed. Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE)/Government-Furnished Information (GFI): Butler VA Medical Center will supply all previous Arc Flash studies and previous single line drawings to the awardee after award. Information from previous studies is incomplete and a site visit is strongly recommended prior to starting performance of work. Planned Solicitation Posting Date: The government plans to post the subject solicitation to the FBO website on or about 03/16/2016.
