Description
TITLE: F8U3CE6057AW01 Sole Source Acquisition for the purchase of Monaco D-21 Central Radio Alarm Receiving System with MAP based communicator and Digital Voice Recorder to include installation and training. The 143rd Contracting Office, Quonset ANGB, North Kingstown, RI intends to award a sole source purchase order to Monaco Enterprise Inc. Required items to be purchased are one (1) D-21 MNS Client Workstation System with the following components: one (1) D-21 rack mounted Primary system which includes RFM-X modem in a 14U rack, Desktop laser printer, Fire software for client, Desktop extender for the D-21 system to include: single monitor KVM equipment for extending mouse, keyboard, and one (1) monitor, short terms rack and desktop UPS, one (1) D-21 Redundant system, Desktop Server/Client CPU, Fire software for client, Monitor (1), mouse & keyboard, Desktop laser printer, RFM-X Modem, Short term desktop UPS, one (1) DVR with touch screen interface, and RFM antenna system. APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY: This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The original system (Monaco) and the upgraded system must be compatible and work properly together and the only way to ensure this happens is to award this upgrade as a sole source requirement to Monaco. Monaco Enterprises has proprietary rights to all parts and specifications and no other company makes equipment compatible with the Monaco System. The upgrade must be compatible with the Monaco Fire Protection System currently installed and in use at the 143rd Airlift Wing. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 16 March 2016 at 10:00 A.M EST.
