- The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk, Contracting Division, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract to procure 50ML Manual Dispensing Gun (2) Each, Thixotropic Compound (400) Each, and 8MM Nozzles (9) Packages to be shipped to the Norfolk, Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia 23709. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes are 333517 (Machine Tool Manufacturing), 325520 (Adhesive), and 332216 (Saw Blade and Hand tool, sets, kits, and outfits of hand tools Manufacturing) and the procurement will be 100% set aside for small businesses. The contract line items are as follows: CLIN 0001: MANUAL DISPENSER Q 2 EACH 50ML Manual Dispensing Gun Hand Operated, Reusable For Dispensing 50 ML Cartridges CLIN 0002: COMPOUND THIXOTROP Q 400 EACH General Purpose Fast Curing Thixotropic Material 50ML Cartridge 101TH CLIN 0003: NOZZLE Q 9 PACKAGES 8MM NOZZLE PACK-50 PACK (50ML) THIXOTROPIC REPLICATING COMPOUNDS Ordering Data 6061B205, 6061B206, 6061B207 Thixotropic Compounds are high resolution, two part silicone polymers designed for replication of metal surfaces. The thixotropic nature of these compounds allows them to be applied on vertical and overhead surfaces without compound dripping or following away from the area of interest Technical Specification: •· Resolution: 0.1 microns •· Shelf Life: 15 months •· Cured Hardness: 28-30 Shore A •· Shrinkage: Less than 0.1% •· Useable temperature range: -10C to +180C •· Specific Gravity: 1.1g/cm3 Fluid fast curing compound with working life of 3-5 min. and curing time of 18-20 min. Nozzles and application guns to be ordered from same vendor as the compound for compatibility purposes. The solicitation number will be SPMYM1-16-Q-0050.
