- Project Description PROJECT: AK DOT 135(5), Glenn Highway: West Chickaloon Grade, Matanuska Susitna Borough, Alaska LOCATION: Approximately 30 miles NE of Palmer, AK WORK: This project consists of grading, base, paving, safety features, minor bridge work, and other small items of work. Bridge work includes finishing the construction of a three span, 353-foot long concrete girder bridge. The work includes finishing the bridge railing, transitions to guardrail, approach slabs and expansion joints, and a membrane waterproofing seal followed by a 4-inch asphalt overlay on the bridge deck. The work includes demolition of the existing steel girder bridge upon completion of the new structure. See "Description of Work" for additional details. LENGTH: 0.82 miles TENTATIVE COMPLETION DATE: Summer 2018 TENTATIVE ADVERTISEMENT DATE: Spring 2016 ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $15 million and $20 million To view the INTERESTED VENDORS LIST you must register as an FBO user. THIS SOLICITATION IS OFFERED FOR FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS This project is being advertised with an Economic Price Adjustment specification. This paragraph announces possible financing available to small businesses. The three types of businesses that are eligible to receive a loan through this program are: (1) Firms that have received DBE certification from a state or local transportation agency; (2) Eligible small business firms; and (3) Firms that have received a disability rating by the Veteran's Administration and have certified themselves as a SDVOSB. Start-up businesses are not eligible to receive a STLP line of credit and should contact the SBA for information about other possible forms of financial assistance. (NOTE - This paragraph does not reserve this solicitation for these types of business): The Department of Transportation's (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts. The Maximum line of credit is $750,000. The STLP loan has a variable rate, which is connected to the prime rate.
