- Description
- DARPA-SN-16-24 Squad X Experimentation (Squad X) Information Days and The Squad X program seeks to enable squads to operate in complex, uncertain, and multi‐domain environments in the physical world, the electromagnetic spectrum and cyberspace. Squads have the greatest potential for impact and innovation, while simultaneously having the lowest barrier to entry for experimentation and system prototyping. It also seeks to design, develop and validate system prototypes for a combined arms squad. The combined arms squad would overmatch its adversaries through the synchronization of fire and maneuver in the physical, electromagnetic spectrum, and cyber domains. The program would lay the technical foundation for the combined arms squad to (1) extend and enhance situational awareness of their entire operational environment, (2) increase maneuver time and space through optimized use of physical, cognitive and material resources, and (3) shape and dominate battlespace through synchronization of fire and maneuver in the physical, electromagnetic spectrum and cyber domains. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Tactical Technology Office (TTO) is sponsoring Information Days and a Proposers Day to provide information to potential proposers on the objectives of the Squad X Experimentation (Squad X) Program in advance of a planned Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The Information Days will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 and March 30, 2016 at the DARPA Conference Center from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Proposers Day will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 and will also be at the DARPA Conference Center from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Advance registration is required for both. Registration opens on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM (Eastern) and closes on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 3:00 PM (Eastern) or when capacity is reached, whichever comes first. Refer to the attachment, "DARPA-SN-16-24," for complete details of this Special Notice including the registration website information.
