Information Only-Pre-Solicitation Notice: The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS), Network Contracting Office, NCO17 anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed-Price construction contract to Renovate Bldg. 10, Project No. 674A4-12-201, located at the VA Medical Center, Waco, Texas, 4800 Memorial Drive, Waco, TX 76711. The method of procurement shall be an Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with the procedures set forth in Parts 14 and 36 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), with an anticipated "approximate" issue date of May 2, 2016 and a projected bid due date of June 17, 2016. Project consists of, but is not limited to; The Contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment to perform construction activities described within the Contract Documents. The requirement is for the interior and exterior renovation of the existing patient care building number 10 located at the VA Medical Center, Waco, Texas. Work will include general construction activities including partial demolition required for new construction, new room and space configurations with new floor, wall and ceiling finishes. Additional work includes, but is not limited to new Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Civil and Structural systems and other items required. All project work shall be accomplished in accordance with the provided specifications and drawings issued under the terms and conditions of the resulting contract. All project work will be performed on site at the VAMC, in Waco, Texas. The entire project is to be completed within 480 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Work shall commence within 10 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The contractor shall be responsible for all site prep, demolition and new work which shall be subject to VA approval at designated project milestones. Work at the Government site shall not take place on nights, weekends, and/or federal holidays unless otherwise coordinated through the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and authorized by the Contracting Officer (CO). This requirement is a competitive offer, Set Aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The applicable NAISC code is 236220, $35.5 Mil. The magnitude of the construction estimated cost range is between: $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.
