Description

This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The Minneapolis Falls VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS) requires on-site board certified cardiovascular and thoracic (C&T) surgeons to provide 24/7 departmental coverage with responsibility for all clinical care and related treatment for veterans admitted to the Minneapolis VA Cardiovascular and Thoracic Inpatient and Outpatient Departments. One full-time cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon will act as the Chief of C&T Surgery to manage the clinical and administrative responsibilities of the department as well as function as a practicing C&T Surgeon. Services of additional part-time Cardiovascular & Thoracic surgeons are also required. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 62111 'Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists),' with a size standard of $11.0 million. It is anticipated that the solicitation number will be VA263-15-R-0483. The solicitation is 'Unrestricted'. Offerors will be evaluated on Technical Capability, Past Performance, and Price. Procurement is being made in accordance with FAR Parts 12 Commercial Item and 15 Negotiated Contracts. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12-month base year with four (4) 12-month options to renew. Service will begin August 1, 2016 (or date of award) through July 31, 2017 for the Base Year. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about April 1, 2016 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Once the solicitation has been posted, questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing and may be sent via email to: joel.felberg@va.gov. Proposals must be submitted in writing to the issuing office, be in accordance with the preparation instructions outlined in the solicitation, and be timely.
