Description
Corrected Response document reflecting proper bandwidth speeds. ***** 3/16/16 - CORRECTION: The original Responses to Questions incorrectly stated the bandwidth speed as 4 MB/s. The proper bandwidth is 4 megabits per second. A corrected response sheet has been attached that reflects this. ****** 3/14/2016 - This RFI response period is extended to 3/24/2016 at 4:00pm ET. A Responses to Questions sheet has been attached. *****RFI AMENDMENT***** The fourth item under section 3.0 "Requested Information" is changed to read as follows: 4) Experience providing near real-time (ie 2-5 minutes) image transmission from outside the contiguous United States (OCONUS) to the contiguous United States (CONUS), particularly Pakistan or other low bandwidth environments in the region. Vendors should address whether they have an existing system on which it can demonstrate its near real-time data transmission of radiography images from an OCONUS origin to a CONUS destination. The sensitivity of CBP's mission demands that the data transmission requirement be a demonstrable and proven capability. *****END AMENDMENT***** THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quote and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. U.S. Customs and Border Protection is interested in identifying vendors that can provide a large scale Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) scanning system to Karachi, Pakistan. This medium energy fixed system would need to meet the requirements in the attached RFI. Vendors are requested to return their responses by March 14, 2016 at 4:00pm ET.
