Description
Weber Ivesia Fence-The purpose and intent of this solicitation is to obtain services to furnish all the necessary personnel, material, equipment, and services to construct approximately 4000 feet of fence around several key areas of a rare plant population located on the Carson Ranger District, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. Project will include construction of a 2 7/8" drill stem top- rail fence with two strand smooth wire under the top rail. Bottom smooth wire is to be no less than 16 inches off the ground. Line posts will require drilling for post placement. Line posts will be saddle cut for top rail placement and wire guides will be welded for smooth wire placement. Concrete for pole placement is to be used as needed minimizing ground disturbance where possible. All corners should be stabilized as needed with additional line posts and all protruding sharp pieces on the fence should be filed down. Specifications for the drill stem pipe will be 2 7/8 diameter pipe cut to 6 foot length with a wall thickness of 0.362. One end of each pipe will cut and saddled. Saddled pipe is to allow a 2 7/8 drill stem line pipe to rest on the post so that it can be assembled and welded easily in the field. Project Location :Reno, Nevada. From Reno, take I-80 west to Virginia Street exit, turn right on Virginia and follow past the University of Nevada. Continue on Virginia crossing McCarran, continue past Bonanza Casino and take the second left onto Hoge Road. Follow Hoge Road to the National Forest boundary and trailhead. Once at first Kiosk turn north (right) onto a road that parallels powerline. Location is at top of hill and to the east. The fence location can be driven to with a truck or ATV. China Camp Fence-The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material (not including fence material, wire, clips, Sage Grouse markers, steel posts and t-posts provided by the USFS), equipment, and services to construct approximately 4270 feet of fence around the perimeter of a meadow system in the China Camp Project on the Bridgeport Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Minerial County Nevada. The fencing will be a permanent 4 strand (bottom smooth wire, 3 -barbed wire strands above) per the below specifications. Contractor shall install two drop down gates within the enclosure. All gates and gate material excluding concrete will be supplied to the contractor by the U.S. Forest Service. NAICS: 238990, $715.0M
