Description

J&A 13.106-1(b)(1) - 12-inch Pyramidal Absorbers Item Description: Broadband ventilation type pyramidal absorbers, 12-inch, quantity of 65. The absorbers are necessary for reduction of electromagnetic reflections found during range operation across the 1GHz-18GHz frequency range. In accordance with FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the Army intends to award a contract for 12-inch pyramidal absorbers for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source: Advanced ElectroMagnetics, Inc., 9311 Stevens Road, P. O. Box 711719, Santee, CA 92072-1719. Advanced Electromagnetics, Inc. is the only responsible source because no other company produces the same model, style and form factor of the anechoic requested. The same model anechoic is needed to provide continuity on the existing instillation, as the items are needed to replace previously damaged units. All other Offerors may submit a quote that will be reviewed by the Government. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed action based upon responses to this posting is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no additional Offers are received, the Government will make award to Advanced ElectroMagnetics, Inc. on 07 April 2016, after the closing of this posting. The anticipated award date is 07 April 2016.
