Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requires On-Call Coverage for General Gynecology Service to support the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, Louisville KY. The Contractor will provide on-call consultation coverage 365 days per year, 24/7. This on-call includes evaluation and treatment of Veteran patients presenting with GYN conditions. If required, the Contractor shall transfer the Veteran patient to a local hospital of the Contractor's choice; however, it must be within 20 miles of the Robley Rex VAMC. The Contractor must be able to properly manage acute GYN patients and must have admitting privileges at the specified local hospital. Except in cases of emergency, requirements for on-call coverage will be scheduled 90 days in advance. Coverage will include consultation with the Robley Rex VAMC's physicians regarding the appropriate medical care of Veterans presenting with GYN conditions and inpatient/outpatient treatment as required in the Contractor's location of choice. Initial response is expected within 30 minutes. The solicitation will identify a time frame for submission of questions (approximately 1 week) and all interested parties are asked to comply with the time frames set forth in the solicitation document for submission of questions. The solicitation shall set out specific requirements for submitting a proposal and all Offerors will be expected to fully comply with proposal submission requirements.
