- Description
- The Air Force Association, Langley Chapter, is sponsoring this Airpower Symposium at the Langley AFB Bayview Commonwealth Center on 21 April 2016. Headquarters Air Combat Command leadership will provide briefings and participate in the panels. The Symposium theme is: One Hundred Years - One Helluva Roar! The Airpower Symposium is scheduled to feature eminently qualified speakers and provides a forum for the constructive exchange of ideas between ACC leadership and defense industry partners toward "providing America with dominant combat airpower within the current strategic and fiscal environments." General Herbert J. "Hawk" Carlisle, Commander of Air Combat Command, is scheduled to give the keynote morning address. Planned session topics from the Director of Plans, Programs and Requirements include updates on ACC's five Core Functions: Air Superiority, Global Precision Attack, Personnel Recovery, Global Integrated ISR and C2. Weapon System teams will discuss roadmaps for some of the Command's weapon systems. In addition, there will be a classified Intelligence Directorate mission brief featuring 480th and 363rd ISR Wings. Participants interested in attending the classfied brief must submit a visit request through the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS).
