- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Parker-Hannafin Corporation, Irvine, CA, for seven (7) each Removal/Installation Slings, P/N 4013-1, NSN: 1730-00-553-3202, and forty-four (44) each Main Tank Sump Drain Tools, P/N 94-8136, NSN: 4930-01-469-1775. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Parker-Hannafin Corporation because this firm is considered the only responsible source capable to perform this effort. The Government does not own technical data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
