- SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS NOTICE IS MARKET RESEARCH TO SUPPORT INCLUSION OF A SOLE SOURCE (BRAND NAME) SPECIFICATION FOR FY16 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AT VARIOUS MILITARY INSTALLATIONS IN ALASKA AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska intends to specify the below listed items as part of a larger construction contracts to be executed on various military installations within Alaska. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement, for the specific items listed below, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR 6.302-1(c), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements - Application for brand name descriptions." Items: 1) Federal Signal UltraVoice Indoor Controller (UVIC) Mass Notification Panel - a remote terminal unit for indoor mass notification. The Federal panel monitors status and sends the signal to the centralized HVAC direct digital control (DDC) control system. The fire alarm and building mass notification systems in each facility must have the capability to communicate with the base wide systems. 2) Monaco Enterprises MAP X - for monitoring, controlling and reporting the HVAC systems in all facilities on the military installation. The DDC systems in each facility must have the capability to communicate with the installation-wide delta control systems. 3) Monaco Enterprises BT-XF Transceiver - required for communication with the Monaco D-21 supervising station which monitors the fire alarm systems in all buildings on the military installation. The fire alarm system in each facility must have the capability to communicate with the installation-wide systems. 4) Siemens APOGEE Building Automation System - for integration with the installation-wide Siemens Apogee Insight System as the Utility Monitoring Control System. Facilities are required to be connected to this head end and to have Building Automation Systems (BAS) which provide full communication and functionality. THIS NOTICE IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be available as these sole source items will be incorporated into the specifications of FY16 solicitations for new Military Construction (MILCON) projects on various military installations in Alaska. Vendors who offer the above items which can meet all of the above functional criteria are invited to respond to this notice. Responses must include the following information:(1) Identification of the manufacturer's name, address, and country of product manufacture. (2) Fully detailed specification sheets.
