- 1. This is a Sources Sought (SS) for a tentative requirement to provide the below listed services. 2. Contractor will be required to furnish all tools, materials, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, instruments and labor to perform inspection and repair (as necessary) of 423 fire and smoke dampers (hereafter "dampers"). Dampers are located at the following specific locations within the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Tampa, FL: Polytrauma Building 38: Ground floor pool area Wing H Interstitial first floor Second floor Wings A, B, C, G and H Third floor Wings A, B, C, G and H Fourth floor mechanical rooms G404 and G403 Polytrauma Building 1: Fifth floor, Five North Wing A 3. Contractor shall: "Inspect, service and ensure that all dampers are in working order and accessible in accordance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. "Follow all OSHA and VA hospital policies and regulations. "Physically inspect each fire damper. Clean, exercise, lubricate, repair or replace fusible links where practical. "Provide and install a label on the access door indicating correct damper number and date of inspection. "Install access doors where required, in accordance with standard industry practice. "Repair or replace any damaged, corroded or unrepairable dampers. 4. The Government may use the responses to this SS for information and planning purposes. The above describes only the currently contemplated possible scope of services and may vary from the work scope in a final SOW included in any Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Quotes (RFQ). A single firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. 5. This SS is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 561790. An organization that is not considered a SDVOSB or VOSB under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. The responses to this announcement will assist in determining the availability of SDVOSBs and VOSBs in consideration of a socio-economic set-aside. 6. Interested parties submitting a response to this inquiry must include the following information: a. Name and address of company b. Primary point of contact, including phone number and e-mail address c. Applicable socioeconomic categories and any pertinent information, which demonstrates firm's ability to meet the requirement d. Experience. Brief descriptions of recent and relevant projects for tasks similar to those described above (1 page maximum) e. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure these items or to issue a RFP/RFQ. Any information that the vendor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such.
