- The United States Army is looking for sources (manufacturers and suppliers) with the ability to provide new MMS components and repair services for existing MMS components. The Government does not possess specifications and/or detailed drawings for the system components addressed in this announcement. However, the Government's previous market research indicated that the system components are considered commercial. The known manufacturer of the MMS components are Climatronics Corp, Cage Code: 24930. However other MMS equipment may be considered if a contractor can prove that their system and all components are truly form, fit and function(f3). New system must be able to interact with all Air Traffic Control (ATC) Systems which use the current MMS. The Army forcasts that it will need the following components: (1) Meteorological Measuring Systems, National Stock Number (NSN): 6660-01-605-5902 (8) TACMET II STD WEATHER STN, NSN: 6660-01-576-9745 (7) MIDDS-T Extension Cable, NSN: 6145-01-589-2050 (1) Cable Reel, NSN: 8130-01-500-3232 (1) MIDDS-T Adapter Assembly, NSN: 5975-01-604-3292 (1) Weatherview SW, NSN: 5995-01-604-7638 (3) TACMET, INDICATOR, METEOROLOGICAL DATA, PART# 102760, NSN TBD The government will require ALL MMS parts be delivered no later than 3 months after award of contract. Repair Services for the MMS components include the following parts (Parts are referenced by Climatronics part numbers): 1) 102304-A1H4J32S1P1; TACMET II STD WEATHER STN 2) 102760; INDICATOR, METEOROLOGICAL DATA 3) 102410-500; EXTENSION CABLE Sources of procurement are sought for the MMS components which include but are not limited to: 1) 102859 METEOROLOGICAL MEASURING SYSTEM 2) 102880 METEOROLOGICAL MEASURING SYSTEM 3) 102304-A1H4J32S1P1 TACMET II STD WEATHER STN, EMI TACMET II 4) 102760 TACMET STD WEATHER STN 5) 102709-G3-10 QUICK MOUNT,TACMET II 6) 102410-500 EXTENSION CABLE, MIDDS 7) C20-14-16 CABLE REEL 8) T-1100C-G TRIPOD, GREEN, W/TIEDOWN KIT 9) 102631-G1 CASE, T-1100C-G TRIPOD 10) 102706 TRANSIT CASE, TACMET II w/QUICK MOUNT 11) 102409 MIDDS-T ADAPTER ASSEMBLY 12) 102455 WEATHERVIEW SOFTWARE Suppliers who are capable of supplying and/or repairing these items should contact the government before April 6th 2016. Submissions can be sent to matthew.n.eberhardt.civ@mail.mil. Responses must include documentation that the supplier can provide the army with a physically and functionally interchangeable unit from the previous supplier as well as having the ability to repair the MMS sensors listed above. Examples of such documentation can be test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source, or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can provide the Army a solution that is proven form, fit and function(f3). Suppliers may have to warrant that the unit will perform satisfactorily when used in the intended purpose of the army through further performance testing.
