- Description
- Request For Information (RFI) Request for Information (RFI) Notice - Low Cost Engines for LCAAT Program will provide the Air Force with a survey of industry capabilities in producing/developing an attritable aircraft engine concepts where by virtue of cost, loss of aircraft could be tolerated; however these aircraft would be intended for reuse with limited life/sorties. Considering the tempo and phase of the engagement, the level of attritability that would be tolerated could change with operations as they advance with time. This low cost engine technology concept will provide long range, transonic, strike capability in remote/contested regions where forward basing is difficult or prohibited or where Air Force planners are reluctant to send more expensive Air Force systems.
