The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Northwest Mountain Region, Western Service Area, is conducting a Market Survey/Request for Information to improve the Government's understanding of the current marketplace and to identify capable sources. Reponses to this Market Survey will be used to determine if there is adequate competition to set the requirement aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB 8(a)), Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), etc. This survey is being conducted in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.2.1. This survey will support market research obtained from multiple sources and will be utilized for planning purposes only. No contract of any kind will be a result of this announcement. The purpose of this Market Survey is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform all work necessary for the removal and replacement of five (5) Air Handler Units (AHU's) at the Seattle Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) in Auburn, Washington. The NAICS code for this project is: 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioner Contractors, with a size standard of $15.0 million. Estimated cost is between $200,000 and $300,000. The following is a general summary of the work: -Remove and replace AHU 1-5 in the automation wing with similar-sized units. -Remove and replace vibration isolators, floor stands, discharge elbows, and piping associated with the AHU units back to the nearest isolation valve. -Remove and replace Supply fan SF-1. -Adjust existing raised floor as necessary. -Remove and replace all temperature and humidity control sensors, and turn over to facility for use as spare parts. -Remove and replace electrical breakers and wires for each AHU. -Each AHU should have inlet and outlet smoke detection. -Remove and replace existing controls. New controls shall be BACnet compliant. Integrate new controls into existing control system which is Metasys System by JCI. -Provide commissioning and testing services from manufacturer's authorized rep. -Provide 3 training sessions for new units and controls. -Provide as-built drawings. The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, services, equipment, insurance, bonds, security notifications, licenses, permits, and fees in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements to complete the specified work. All work must be completed within 60 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP) is issued.
