- This notice is posted in accordance with FAR Part 5.2 and 36.213-2 Disclosure of Magnitude: Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 This RESTRICTED ACQUISITION is set aside competitively for a Certified 8(a) Small Business concern located in SBA service area 0681 (San Antonio District) The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 236220 -- Commercial Building Construction with a size standard $36.5M. In accordance with FAR Part 4.1102 and DFARS 252.204-7004, Alternate A, System for Award Management (SAM), contractor must be registered in SAM prior to award. Offerors may obtain information on registration at https://www.sam.gov. The 502d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) is contemplating the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) to renovate Bldg. 663, located at JBSA-Randolph, TX 78150. General scope of work: The Contractor shall replace renovate the basement of Bldg. 663 in order to fully utilize the space and to bring that area of the building up to minimum standards of the building code to include a 7'-6" clear headroom. The contractor shall install new lighting and exit lighting/signs in the basement. The contractor shall remove and relocate electrical panels to code in the renovated basement. The contractor shall resolve the gas line to code in the renovated basement. The Contractor shall install a door ramp at the east door that leads from the building, and construct an ADA accessible egress from the main building. On the 1st & 2nd floors, the Contractor shall install security cameras, install secured access card reader hardware and door locks at lobby to corridor doors, and provide and install new exit lights as needed to comply with fire codes. On the 1st & 2nd floors, the Contractor shall replace the carpet and base in the corridors, replace all door hardware with ADA compliant hardware, replace room signage, and replace the recessed fluorescent light fixtures in the corridors to meet minimum footcandle standards. Construction on the 1st & 2nd floors shall be accomplished in multiple phases in the hallways where nearby offices must be phased to limit number to 2-3 offices vacated at any time. THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION SYNOPSIS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Any subsequent RFP will be made available electronically via the FedBizOpps (FBO) website (https://www.fbo.gov) on or about April 15, 2016. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking the FBO website for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued. This notice does not commit the Government to award a contract. No collect calls or facsimile transmissions will be accepted. Any costs incurred as a result of a response to this announcement shall be borne by the firm and will not be charged to the Government for reimbursement.
