- Questions & Answers: 1.)What is the approved epoxy, and is it required or can we use a multi-flex paint? Which is an elastic water sealer that will seep in and seal the cracks. Any epoxy that is used for structural concrete repairs. No, a paint is not going to be used to seal a crack. 2.)Is the kiddie pool part of the contract? No. 3.)Why was the pool half full at time of walk through? Because CE drained the pool halfway. 4.)Are there any known leaking issues? Yes. 5.)When was the pool last fully functioning? It functioned throughout last year's pool season. 6.)When was it last re-plastered? CE states that it was 2009. 7.)Are filter pumps fully functioning and can you verify they are? They are fully functional. 8.)Is there a pool maintenance log we can see? Any past history of pool performance would be beneficial. There is not. CE states that the pool was built in 2004, plastered 2009, and I believe all equipment is original. 9.)Do all lights work and can you verify they do? No light replacement was mentioned in SOW. Lights will not be in the contract. 10.)Are there any known plumbing issues? Not that we know of. 11.)Can we spray our bond-kote on instead of rolling? We have rolled it on before and it's not rough enough, it should be sprayed on to allow a better adhesion with the new plaster. Apply to manufacturer specifications. 12.)Does it need to be sealed around the Lights and Drains? A few lights had water in them. No. 13.)At walk through it was stated that the chlorinator supply line saddle would stay as is, and pipe was to be replaced above existing saddle eliminating any concrete demo to remove piping is this correct? All piping will be replaced, new saddle tap will have to be installed. 14.)SOW only refers to the pool itself with pumps and equipment. The surrounding decking and pool appurtenances are not part of this SOW? Correct. 15.)There were broken Depth Number Tiles do they need to be replaced? If so can we get pics and/or a total count on tiles to be replaced? No. 16.)Depth number stickers were torn/damaged. Do these need to be replaced? No. 17.)Existing Grates for Pool Gutter had a coating that was flaking. Do these get replaced? No.
