Description
THIS IS A NOTIE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL, A SOLICITAITON DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED: The Mobile Distruct, US Army Corps of Engineers intends to negotiate on a noncompetitie base in accrodance with FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2) quote. Only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement for the purchase of a total of seven GemStar Generator Revenue Meters for the Millers Ferry and Jones Bluff powerhouses, a part of the Alabama River Lakes Project located in Alabma. The USACE Mobile intends to request a quote from Ametek Power Instruments, Regional Representative Spader and Associates, 4854 Fitzpatrick Way, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092. The overall goal is to effectively communicate with our SCADA System. The GemStar Meters will be delievered to the Miller Ferry Site within 3-4 weeks or order. The sole source determination is based on the facr there are no other meters on the market that are able to communicate with our SCADA system. SAM Hydropower facilities have standardized equipment to the Ametek metering equipment such that previously purchased calibration equipment and training personnel for multiple other types of revenue meters. The SCADA system was only designed around these Ametek revenue meters. This Notice of Intent is NOT A request for competitive proposal. Patries may express their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than April 11, 2016. Repsonses should be sent to joan.a.rensink@usace.army.mil. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely iwth the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
