Description

The 65th Contracting Flight, Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal, intends to award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Meneses & McFadden/Cartor/VHC Joint-Venture, in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to exercise a modification to extend the current Simplified Acquisition for Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) contract, FA4486-11-D-0001, for six months, from 1 April 2016 - 30 September 2016. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency if received before 4:00 PM Local, or 12:00 PM EST, 29 March 2016. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
