The Regional Contracting Office-MCIPAC intends to solicit and award a Firm Fixed Price contract for this requirement. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-87 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement Publication Notice (DPN) 20160226. THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION. The government reserves the right to make one, multiple or no award resulting from this solicitation. Notes: 1.Quoters shall state their proposed delivery schedule and F.O.B. terms. If proposing Freight Prepaid, an estimated freight cost shall be included. 2.Delivery Location: Defense Logistics Agency Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin Tracy Depot, Bldg. 30 CCP 25600 Chrisman Road Tracy, CA 95376 3.This is śBrand Name Only ť requirement. See below for item description. Manufacturer: Marathon Equipment Company INFEED CONVEYOR C1 HEAVY DUTY SLIDER BED TYPE DESIGN The Marathon Equipment Co., Model SB-36 below grade conveyor shall have a belt width of 36 ť (914.4). The belting will be 220# PIW 2 ply rubber with 1/8 ť (3.2) cover and slick backing, with 3 ť (76.2) high cleats on 48 ť (1219.2) centers. Distance between the head and tail pulley will be 24 ™-9 9/16 ť (7558.52). Conveyors construction shall be a formed frame design from 1/8 ť (3.2) thick steel plate, with 4 ť (101.6) structural channel cross members and a solid sheet bed design. The side skirt height of the conveyors shall be 1 ť-11 ť (584.2) above the belt with full length belly pans. Conveyor drive units shall be a shaft mounted direct drive gear box, with high efficiency 3hp TEFC motor. The gear box ratio should accommodate a belt speed of 20 to 80 fpm with variable frequency drive. The conveyor pulleys are 9 ť (228.6) diameter, with Ľ ť (6.4) lagging on head pulley and a crown on tail pulley, mounted to the conveyor with heavy duty sealed pillow block bearings. The belt adjusters are a heavy duty screw type, mounted to both sides of the tail shaft with an extra adjuster mounted to the head shaft on opposite side of gear box to assist with belt tracking. The conveyors to be equipped with 2 emergency mushroom stop buttons in a NEMA 4 enclosure at the feed area of the conveyors. The conveyors shall be constructed of high quality steel, designed for use in an industrial setting, and comply with ASME conveyor safety standards. SORT CONVEYOR C2 HEAVY DUTY SLIDER BED TYPE DESIGN The Marathon Equipment Co., Model SB-36 above grade conveyors shall have a belt width of 36 ť (914.4). The belting will be 200# PVC belt. Distance between the head and tail pulley will be 33 ™-11 ť (10337.2). Conveyors construction shall be a formed frame design from 1/8 ť (3.2) thick steel plate, with 4 ť (101.6) structural channel cross members and a solid sheet bed design. The side skirt height of the conveyors shall be 3 1/2 ť (88.9) above the belt. Top of the conveyor sides will be 3 ™ (914.4) above the platform deck. Equipped with full length belly pans or side covers to prevent access to any moving parts under the conveyor. Return idler rollers shall be mounted on the underside of the belt spaced a minimum of 10 ™ (3048.0) apart. Conveyor drive units shall be a shaft mounted direct drive gear box, with high efficiency 3hp TEFC motor. The gear box ratio should accommodate a belt speed of 20 to 80 fpm with variable frequency drive. The conveyor pulleys are 9 ť (228.6) diameter, with Ľ ť (6.4) lagging on head pulley and a crown on tail pulley, mounted to the conveyor with heavy duty sealed pillow block bearings. The conveyors to be equipped with emergency pull cord stop controls on sorting side of the conveyor. The conveyors shall be constructed of high quality steel, designed for use in an industrial setting, and comply with ASME conveyor safety standards. SORT PLATFORM The sort platform is to be of heavy duty design. It shall be 8 ™ (2437.7) wide x 26 ™-8 ť (8128.2) long. The platform deck shall be 6 ™-7 ť (2006.6) above the finished floor. It shall accommodate sorting from only a single side of the sort conveyor. The deck should be covered with a minimum 3/16 ť (4.8) thick diamond floor plate, and the deck framing shall be constructed from a minimum of C6x8.2 structural channels. It shall be equipped with 42 ť (1066.8) high hand rails with 4 ť (101.6) high toe boards, 2 (two) sets of stairs with 3/16 ť (4.8) diamond plate runners, and 4 (four) 24 ť (609.6) x 36 ť (914.4) x 42 ť (1066.8) high drop chutes. The platform legs shall be constructed with a minimum of 6 (six) vertical W6x15 structural I-beams, with sufficient cross-bracing to insure stability. Each leg shall have provisions to anchor the platform to the concrete floor. Manufacture shall supply all hardware required for assembling the platform. The platform shall be constructed of high quality steel, designed for use in an industrial setting, and comply with OSHA safety standards and any other applicable ordinances and codes. CONTROL SYSTEM The system shall be controlled from a single control panel. The control panel shall be a NEMA 3/12/14, and equipped with an electrical disconnect. The conveyor controls shall be mounted in the face of the panel. The controls shall consist of a single keyed on/off switch, a start and stop button for each conveyor, 2 (two) potentiometers, 1 (one) for the infeed conveyor, 1 (one) for the sort conveyor, and a mushroom emergency stop button. The panel shall be equipped with 2 (two) 3 hp Yaskawa variable frequency drives. Any field wiring and/or local codes are the responsibility of others. Offers will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 13.106-2 considering the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offer.
