Description
Draft Statement of Work GSA Northwest Arctic Region Market Research for Qualified Business sources GSA Public Building Service Northwest Arctic Region NAICS: 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors This Notice is market research only. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. No solicitation is available at this time. The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, Northwest Arctic Region seeking qualified and interested contractors to participate in a future acquisition for the replacement of fire alarm system at the Historic Richard B. Anderson Federal Building located at 138 W 1st St, Port Angeles, WA 98362. The estimated magnitude of the project, including design, is between $250,000 and $500,000, which is within the range that is typically reserved for small business. Contractors should have significant specialty design/build construction fire alarm experience in nationally registered historic buildings, specifically where existing fire alarms have had to remain fully-operational while the new fire alarm system is installed. Due to the criticality of the project, it is expected that the contractor selected for this work be able to perform at least 65% to 75% of the electrical work with its own in-house workforce and must be able to successfully manage all subcontractors. Interested parties are requested to submit the following information in response to this sources sought notice no later than April 14, 2016 to the Government point of contact listed in this notice: 1. Business name, address and point of contact information. 2. Business size as listed in the System for Award Management website (https://www.sam.gov), include the NAICS code and Product Service Code. 3. Provide a brief description of your workforce and its certifications, licensing, and qualifications (active registration/licensing with the State of Washington for designer, electricians, NICET, etc.). 4. Provide a list of fire alarm system contractors that your firm has utilized in it roles as prime contractor to perform fire alarm replacement projects. 5. If your firm self-performs both electrical and fire alarm design and construction, clearly states so. 6. If you are responding to this Notice from outside the geographic location of the work, please provide a short narrative detailing how you propose to mobilize and perform the work at a fair and reasonable price to the Government. 7. Please indicate if your firm is a large business, small business or small business socio-economic concern including, but not limited to service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HubZone certified business, 8(a) certified business or joint venture, Alaska Native Corporation or other Native American Tribally owned business. Comments may also be provided in response to this Sources Sought Notice. Note: a draft copy of the Statement of work is included for comment. Please note that it is the policy of the Government to provide maximum practicable opportunities in its acquisitions to small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business or other firms. AGAIN, THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This is for planning purposes only and is a market research tool to determine availability and adequacy of potential certified small business sources. The Government will not reimburse responders for the cost of the submittals.
