- The U.S. Army plans to conduct a best value competitive source selection resulting in award of one Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), 5 year with 2 option years, Requirements contract to procure upgrades to the existing Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) A1P2 vehicle platform through Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) as well as provide System Technical Support (STS), Field Service Representatives (FSRs), and Maintenance Technical Representatives (MTRs). The Government requested upgrades include the following: • Integrate higher capacity suspension, wheels, and tires • Integrate underbody protection • Increase engine power • Integrate higher capacity alternator • Integrate data bus upgrade • Integrate safety enhancements The Government will make Composite 3-Dimensional (3-D) Technical Data Package (TDP) drawings of the A1P2 vehicle platform available to interested parties. All documents are marked Distribution D - Export Controlled. Parties interested in obtaining the 3-D TDP drawings must be certified in the Joint Certification Program (JCP), have an active System for Award Management (SAM) account, and submit a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) via email to the FMTV A2P2 mailbox usarmy.detroit.acc.mbx.fmtv-a2@mail.mil. The data custodian in JCP must sign and submit the 3-D TDP NDA which is attached to this announcement. In addition, the interested party shall provide the Organization's name and CAGE code. Upon approval, the Government will mail out the FMTV 3-D TDP drawings via CD. Any information provided by the Government is DRAFT ONLY and is subject to change prior to the final RFP release. Publication of any DRAFT Documentation is not a pre-RFP notice (synopsis) or a formal RFP and does not bind the Government to solicit or award a contract. All DRAFT Documents are subject to change. Feedback provided in response to the draft shall be voluntary on the part of the potential offeror and the Government will not reimburse any potential offeror for costs associated with its feedback. The Government will post updated information on the FMTV A1P2 upgrade effort as necessary. Interested parties are responsible to keep themselves informed, so it is important to visit FBO periodically to ensure that you have the most current information. Please submit any questions through the FMTV A2P2 mailbox usarmy.detroit.acc.mbx.fmtv-a2@mail.mil. The Government will post submitted questions along with the corresponding answers for public review and reserves the right to not respond to all questions received.
