Description
Statement of Work The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIH/NIAID) in support of the Division of Vaccine Research Center (VRC) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition for support services Democratic Republic Congo (DRC) with Institut National de Recherche, Avenue De La Democratie, Kinshasa, Congo, BP 1197. The goal of the Biodefense Research Section (BRS) is to translate basic research into tangible vaccine products that can be rapidly deployed to protect public health. Development of a vaccine is a multi-step process such as understanding the basic immunological needs to help protect against infectious disease, developing vaccine candidates and the testing of such candidates in clinical trials. No other vendor is able to meet the basic requirements to fulfill this acquisition. All services, supplies, and support on-site at remote locations in the DRC. The Biodefense Research Section (BRS) has worked with this vendor through the US Embassy on several public health related outbreaks. All responsible sources who feel they can meet these requirements shall submit their capabilities that will be considered. The government reserves the right to make a decision whether this requirement is available for competition. The Period of Performance will be 12 months from the date of award. Offers must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), April 8, 2016. Delivery address through the U.S. Postal Service, NIH/NIAID/AMOB, 5601 Fishers Lane, RM 3a64 Rockville, MD 20852.
