Description
JOFOC The United States Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Marketing Service, Cotton and Tobacco Program plans to award a sole source contract to Quantitative Engineering Solutions LLC (QES) located at 3525 Castle Lane, Suite 6, Alcoa, TN 37701 for the purchase of a Cotton Acquisition and Tracking System (CATS) Modular System (CMS). The CMS consists of a conveyance system, components and peripheral devices that are used to acquire, track and deliver cotton samples for cotton classification purposes. Components of CMS include sample supply conveyor, loader/imager workstations, indexing conveyors, RFID (tags, writers and readers), sub-sampling devices, sub-sampling conditioning, HVI delivery and communication protocols, classer workstations and sample disposition procedures. The system includes customized logical interfaces for PLCs and operational interfaces. QES is the original contractor who designed and manufactured the CMS. This contract will be an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for a period not to exceed 5 years. This contract will also include a two additional line items for the disassembly and removal of the existing CATS Prototype originally purchased from QES in 2012 and the addition of two sub-sampler workstations for the expansion of the existing left (south) side of the CMS located in Memphis, Tennessee originally purchased in May 2015.
