- Description
- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC)-Carlisle Barracks is looking for the design, production and the installation of police vehicle graphics on eight (8) Chevrolet four door Impala sedans for the Carlisle Barracks Police Department (CBPD), in accordance with HQ IMCOM Command Provost Marshal / Protection Senior Leaders Course (SLC) Brief dated 25 August 2015, Joint Service Law Enforcement Vehicle Equipment Standardization (JSLEVES) and PA State Law Title 67 Chapter 173. The Governments intents to issue one Firm Fixed Price contract to fulfill this requirement. The vehicle's to be decaled as the following: - All markings must be reflective in nature (micro-prismatic reflective material). - Markings will include the word, "POLICE" in reflective print no smaller than 6" on both sides of the vehicle and the rear of the vehicle regardless of the type of vehicle to aid in perception/reaction time and recognition during low light conditions. - Marked patrol vehicles will also utilize bumper mounted, rear-facing "retro-reflective markings in a 45-degree down and away "chevron" pattern with alternating yellow/fluorescent yellow/fluorescent yellow green 6-inch stripes. (NFPA, 2009, p. 47). - Vehicles will have an identification number on the roof of the vehicle in clear visible markings to assist with air support directional identification. All patrol vehicles will be white in color. - Markings will also contain the Installation name and the MP Motto "ASSIST PROTECT DEFEND". Minimal lettering size for the MP Motto of "Assist Protect Defend" will be 1.75"x 36.5" and the Installation lettering will be a minimum of 1.75" high regardless of the type of vehicle. - Vehicles will have a green and gold (MP Traditional) color striping only. No other colors will be accepted for striping. The striping will cover the driver and passenger side only. No striping will be authorized for any other part of the vehicle (hood, trunk, and roof) except the rear bumper as explained. Reflective Striping will only be green and gold to resemble the Military Police Tradition. This Notice is not a request for competitive quotes however, all information received in response to this Sources Sought will be used within the MICC-Carlisle Barracks to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the Command. Please provide photos of decals that meet the above specifications if possible. The intent of this market research is to locate qualified, and interested potential sources to broaden future competition. Responses will not be considered as quotes, nor will any award be made as a result of this Sources Sought announcement. The Command will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this Sources Sought announcement. Should any future requirement(s) evolve from this preliminary planning process, the period of performance is to be 1 June 2016 through 31 September 2016.
