- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure on a non-competitive basis nine (9) Pitot, Static Probe Inspection Tools P/N Model 0885N. These units are required to inspect the pitot static probe tips for damage and test the functionality of the P-8's onboard pitot-static probes. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Rosemount Aerospace 14300 Judicial Road, Burnsville, MN 55306-4898. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only responsible source to perform this effort. Rosemount Aerospace designed specifications to enable inspections of the pitot static probe tips for damage aboard the P-8A. They own all proprietary rights to the engineering data and detailed product drawings. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
