Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Service Area Office - Central Region (SAOC), anticipates soliciting proposals and awarding a contract for Custom Sterile Procedure Packs for VISNs 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,17,18,19,20,21, and 22 Veterans Heath Administration Medical Facilities located throughout the SAO East and West Regions. The Contractor shall provide all labor; materials, transportation, equipment and supervision, in compliance with federal, state and local regulations, to provide for a Custom Sterile Procedure Pack Program for the production and delivery of individualized custom sterile procedure packs to be utilized by an estimated 120 medical centers throughout VISNs 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,17,18,19,20,21, and 22. The packs shall be available for distribution by the Medical Surgical Prime Vendor (MSPV) or by direct purchase, at the discretion of the local facility. The Custom Sterile Procedure Pack Program will include but not limited to; pack manufacture, sterilization, quality assurance, packaging, electronic communication, electronic ordering, reporting, and delivery. A component catalog schedule and pack configuration schedule will be included in the solicitation which participating medical centers will use to facilitate the assembly of custom sterile procedure packs to meet specific facility requirements. All aspects of pack manufacture, packaging and sterilization must adhere to the quality control standards set by the FDA and be TAA compliant. The solicitation will be advertised as Full and Open Competition. The Government intends to award Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Requirements Contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions and specifications of the solicitation. The term of the contract is for one year with four (4) one year options. NAICS code is 339113 - Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about April 21, 2016. The date is not firm and may change due to events out of our control. Proposals will be due on or about May 19, 2016. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. All inquiries should be directed in writing to Julie Willie or Nicole Kutsi at VHACOSAOCentralRegionContractStaff@va.gov. There will be a pre-proposal conference scheduled sometime within one week after the solicitation documents have been published. The solicitation documents shall include all relevant information to this pre-proposal conference. Solicitation documents may be obtained electronically at Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. The prospective offeror is responsible for downloading all documents including amendments at the FBO website without further notification from the Contracting Officer.
