Description

Intend to Award Sole Source to: Buffalos Supply, Inc. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source to: Buffalo Supply, Inc. 1650A Coal Creek Drive Lafayette, CO 80026 The objective of this sole source award is to acquire Stryker Spinal Navigation Instruments to be utilized with the existing Stryker ES2 Spinal System and Stryker XIA Titanium Spinal System, which are located at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. These Stryker Spinal Navigation instruments are required for use with these specific microscopes during neurosurgery cases. Additionally, this contractor is the only authorized distributor of Stryker Spine items to federal government customers. Subsequently, sole source is based on only one responsible source as Buffalo Supply, Inc. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 339112; the small business size standard is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 12:00PM EST on April 01, 2016 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Michael Tempero, Contract Specialist at Michael.Tempero@va.gov. The email subject line shall state, "Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center", "Intent to Sole Source to Buffalo Supply, Inc.". A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
