- Sources Sought: Desktop Alert IT maintenance and software Authority: FAR 6.302-1(c). This is a sources sought in an effort to identify additional sources capable of meeting this requirement. Procedures outlined in DFARS PGI 206.302-1 are applicable to this acquisition. Summary: The Missouri National Guard Data Department of Information Management needs software updates and support for current Desktop Alert software. Software must: 1. Provide updates to existing Desktop Alert software 2. Meet compatibility requirements of existing Desktop Alert software. 3. Provide maintenance and helpdesk support for existing Desktop Alert software. Currently, the only known software capable of meeting the requirement is Desktop Alert. This would indicate that the need for a "Sole Source" acquisition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(c). Purpose: The purpose of this request is to identify other sources capable of meeting this requirement in an effort to increase competition.
