Description
Request for Information - Trans-Africa Airlift The United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Acquisition Directorate, in partnership with United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), is conducting market research to identify interested potential sources to provide fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft that will improve the capability and capacity of the Department of Defense (DoD) to transport low-volume, low-frequency movements of passengers and cargo within the Continent of Africa. Any potential source must have the ability to provide personnel and cargo airlift services throughout the continent of Africa. Estimated requirements range from 6-20 passengers and 2000-5000 pounds of cargo. As part of this market research, USTRANSCOM is conducting two initiatives. 1. Industry Day, April 14, 2016 in the vicinity of Scott AFB, Illinois 2. A Request for Information (RFI) to be submitted via e-mail Vendors wishing to participate in an industry day should RSVP no later than April 8, 2016, at 5:00PM CST. The purpose of the industry day will be to improve potential offeror's understanding of the anticipated requirement. RSVP is required for attendance. In addition to any participation in Industry Day, interested vendors should review the attached RFI and submit responses to the primary POC not later than April 8, 2016, at 5:00PM CST. This announcement is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation of any kind. USTRANSCOM is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals for this requirement. This notice should not be construed as a commitment of any type by the Government to take or not take any action. Please note USTRANSCOM will not be responsible for any costs incurred by any entity which provides and/or attempts to provide information in response to this RFI.
